Monk participó en el docudrama que Peter Bogdonavich dirigió para la ABC, The Mystery of Natalie Wood, en el que encarnaba a Marilyn Monroe. Tiene un papel como coprotagonista en la próxima comedia de Adam Sandler,
Calendar Girl, el primer trabajo en solitario de Monk llegó a ser disco de oro en 2003. Esta cantante y actriz se encuentra en la actualidad trabajando en su segundo álbum. Monk ha aparecido también en videos musicales, campañas publicitarias de prensa y televisión, y ha sido portada de las ediciones australianas de las revistas Vogue y FHM.
